ABX Panel

ABX Panel is sold as a secondary panel made of 29 gauge material or sometimes with 26 gauge. It is sold as No-warranty, No return. Usually it is a very good quality since it was intended for prime material. The metal was downgraded because of one or more of the following reasons: Closeouts, excess, overruns, small coils, color variations, wavy edges, dents, returns and oil canning. ABX Panel is the same design as ABM Panel. ABX Panel has been used on hundreds of buildings with great success and a very few problems. The color of each shipment may vary slightly, so it is recommended that you buy enough to complete the job if this is a concern.
ABX Painted Panel (secondary): ABX Painted Panel is usually painted with prime paint. Most of the colors available are close to the ABM Panel colors. But the color may vary from order to order. If quality and color consistency is a concern to you, use the ABM Panel Painted G-100. Most of the colors are a painted G-60 galvanize or better. These painted sheets are rarely oiled.
ABX Galvanized Panel (Secondary) code: XGV: ABX Galvanized will have one of the following coatings: G-90 G-60 or G-40. The ABX Galvalume Panels may be acrylic coated, chemical treated, non chemical treated and is usually oiled * . In the first few months ABX Galvanized Panel may loose its shiny appearance faster than #1 galvanized.
ABX Dull Galvanized Panel (Secondary) code: XDG: ABX Dull galvanized has a corrosion resistant zinc phosphate coating for painting but was never painted. ABX Galvanized will have one of the following coatings: G-90 G-60 or usually G-40. It is always oiled *
ABX Galvalume Panel (Secondary) code: XGA: Galvalume may have an AZ50 or AZ55 coating. It is unknown what type of coating it has. The ABX Galvalume panels may be acrylic coated, chemical treated or non chemical treated and is usually oiled *
ABX Rainbow Panel (Secondary) Code: XRB: ABX Rainbow is at the bottom of the list. Each sheet may have all of the following: Water stains, shiny or dull Galvanizes, Partly painted or partly primer and is usually oiled*.
ABX Panel 18" and 27" Coverage or (Secondary) : ABX 18 or 27 inch coverage is rollformed from narrow coils. The narrow coils may have been intended for trim, standing seam or garage door panels. Made by the same Rollformer as the ABM Panel, the 18" coverage sheets have 2 ribs less and the 27" coverage sheets have 1 rib less. The gauges vary from 24 gauge to 32 gauge. The panels are sold as a lower priced panel because of the more narrow coverage. Call for price and availability, or check the "Specials and Closeouts".
* Caution needs to be taken when you handle or install the ABX panels because of the oil on the sheets. Oil makes the sheets slippery. Also read ABM panel Storage & Installation Instructions. ABM Panels need to be kept dry until they are installed. Do not store them with moisture between the sheets, because white rust, red rust or stains may be accrued. Thereby, shortening the life considerably. |
All these benefits are derived from a 100% recyclable product that offers a practical life of more than double many traditional roofing materials makes ABX an astute choice.
